The big move!

As most of you know, we recently moved into our new house. What a chore, and we still aren't done. Still, we were able to get in and somewhat settled by Christmas. Jeff has been working his butt off hanging curtains, towel rods, and many other things. He also installed the shower doors because we wanted to use it but didn't want to wait for someone else to come do it. We still have a few things for the builder to do but for the most part, the house is complete. We couldn't be happier. After a couple days of confusion, the kids are settled in and doing great. As one of our friends put it, we feel that we have finally "arrived." Here are some pictures for those who keep saying SEND PICTURES! Merry Christmas everyone.

The kids were very patient on the night we decided to start moving and hooking up appliances. We put on a movie and set up a picnic in Molly's room and they did great. If you look closely you will catch a glimpse of Molly's castle mural.

All the running back and forth between houses was a bit tiring. If only I could have crashed like that.

The kids came up with the idea to make "carpet angels" when they saw that it had been installed.

Moved in

Here is a close-up of the front. We still have to have a step put on and fill in the yard but we have to wait until the MUD dries out a bit.

Upstairs living room. We got our tree up just one week before Christmas. I wanted to do more unpacking but Molly insisted on ornaments and candy canes for the tree instead.

My favorite room (because I spend most of my time there). I love my kitchen. I still can't remember which cabinets hold what dishes but eventually I'll have it down. Get this, I have several cabinets that are empty!! I can't believe it!

The Formal dining room.

My second favorite room in the house! The tub is GREAT!

This is the kids playroom downstairs. We still have to trim it and add carpet but it is pretty much done. We had a kids Christmas party yesterday and all had a great time!
