Bras!

Okay, so this is a comment only a woman will appreciate. But, let me just say that I haven't had new underwear and bras since before Jack was born. After all, I was pregnant and nursing for three years straight. I figured it was a waste of money because my body would be changing so much. Anyhow, I finally realized how bad this was and have been saying repeatedly around the house, " I really need some new underwear." Needless to say that Jeff was listening and he gave me a large gift card to Victoria's Secret for my birthday. I went there on Saturday without the kids and spent every dime. I cannot believe the difference!! I feel great in my new stuff and it actually FITS and isn't "baby-stretched." My "parts" are back where they should be and I've never felt better! I am in love with the body by victoria line. The point is, anyone in the market for new stuff should try it out! It's like I'm not even wearing anything!

Olympics

I am in the olympics this year! Well, the "Ladies Total Fitness Olympics" anyway. I am quite excited. It is giving me just the motivation I need to really get down to business. We got together a team of Army wives who are quite excited to be participating. We have several events: most classes attended, most days attended, most combined weight lost, most inches lost, best team t-shirt, best team flag, and best team anthem. Of course, we seem more excited about the t-shirt and flag competition. We are going with pink "camo" uniforms. It should be so cute. Anyway, I am telling about the olympics because it gives me even more reason not to FAIL if other people know about it. The more people to answer to, the better! My goal is to lose 19 more pounds by the time I head to Missouri in April. That will put me at 150 pounds at feeling great! Of course, I know it's not all about the scale so I would also be thrilled to be in a size eight pant. And not in just one brand of jeans! So, onward and upward. Wish me luck!!

Healing....

Well, Molly did have her tubes in on Tuesday morning. She is doing great. It was a little crazy (think exorcism!) when she was waking up from the anesthesia but other than that, everything went great. She came home, took a morning nap, and woke up happier than she's been in a long while. She was running around, laughing and playing like nothing ever happened. I'd do it again in a heartbeat if she needed it. Jack on the other hand boggles me sometimes. He woke up Sunday with pink eye and then started running a 102 fever that lasted until yesterday (Thursday). I took him back to the doctor where they swabbed his throat and drew blood (the big boy way). I was so proud of him. He didn't cry for either procedure. He's my tough little guy. Anyway, the tests came back negative so we have no explanation for his fever except that he's got another virus of some sort. I was thinking the worst of course because no one else was getting sick and that worries me. He's still camped out on the couch and his eyes are still red (they switched his eye drops). We are just waiting it out at this point and hoping he is feeling better soon. The kid really can't afford to not eat for a week you know?
