Daily Amazement
Sometimes I have one of those days where I just think, " it is really AMAZING being a mom." I love my kids everyday but once in a while, we have a GREAT day. One of those days where they are both doing new things and I notice every move they make. We had a couple of those recently. Molly is just becoming so much her own person. She has a strong personality and is so much more active than Jack was at fifteen months. She likes to play ROUGH and tease her daddy with kisses and then not give him one. She is starting to talk and it's funny that we can understand most of the time. Jack is in the full throws of two-hood. He's really been challenging us but I try to smile (and ignore) and move on without him getting under my skin. It doesn't always work that way, but I try. He is so smart and just thirsts for knowledge. Sometimes when we are doing colors or letters he'll say "in spanish?" I find that amazing at his age. I guess I will have to get him into some lessons. We went to a new park last week on a nice day and Jack climbed up into the three story treehouse by himself to come down the slide. Molly was pushing me off of her when I tried to take her down the slides on my lap. They really are something. Anyway, those of you who are moms will understand this I am sure. I am just amazed at being a mom.....
On another note, to those who know our friend Kevin Crooks. We'd like to welcome him home from a year in Iraq! He got home last Wednesday and we are thrilled that he is safe and back with his family......
